Alzheimer’s Caregiver Support Group
1st Thursday of each month, 6 - 7:30 p.m.
Oftentimes, we hear caregivers say they are looking for support from people who “really understand because they have been there too.” An Alzheimer’s Caregiver Support Group offers just that - a safe place for caregivers, family and friends of persons with dementia. The purpose of the group is to develop a mutual support system. Alzheimer’s caregivers frequently report experiencing high levels of stress. It can be overwhelming to take care of a loved one with Alzheimer’s or other dementia. Too much stress can be harmful to both of you. We will also review the symptoms of caregiver stress and how to manage that stress.
