Make it Happen for Senior Independence Hospice Patients and Support the Mahoning Valley Scrappers

CANFIELD, Ohio - Ohio Living Home Health & Hospice is raising funds for its Make it Happen program by selling box seat ticket vouchers to the August 14 Mahoning Valley Scrappers baseball game. Through the Make it Happen program Senior Independence provides special moments of joy and meaning to those nearing the end of their lives by fulfilling their life-enhancing wishes. For each $8 ticket voucher sold (a $10 face value per ticket), the Scrappers will donate $4 to Senior Independence Hospice.

“The goal of the event is to have a Make it Happen for a family whose mother/grandmother is currently a hospice patient battling cancer,” explained Susan Berny, director of gift planning for Senior Independence. Two of the patient’s grandchildren will throw out the first pitch in honor of their grandmother to start the game.

To purchase the fundraising ticket vouchers and support both the Ohio Living Home Health & Hospice Make it Happen program and the Class A, Cleveland Indians affiliate Mahoning Valley Scrappers, contact Susan Berny at 330.720.2737. “We are excited to make our patient’s wish come true while offering a day of summer fun at a baseball game for Mahoning Valley families,” concluded Berny.
