Ohio Living employees receive Elder Care Certificates from Ohio State

Three employees from Ohio Living Westminster-Thurber were recognized at the Alber Enterprise Center at Ohio State Marion.  The employees participated in a pilot program funding through an OSU CARES seed grant.  According to the university, the program “creates a pathway for direct care employees to gain a certificate that recognizes their expertise in working with elders.”

Their graduation ceremony was held May 10 and included all the pomp and circumstance of a typical graduation.

The Ohio Living employees who graduated included Charlene H. (CNS Associate), Blake W.(Maintenance Technician), Steve W. (Driver).

The Alber Enterprise Center directed the program under the leadership of Anne Johnson, MS, Senior Organization Development Consultant, and facilitated by experts in the field.
