Ohio Living Westminster-Thurber Wins Cbus Top Pick for Senior Housing

Congratulations to Ohio Living Westminster-Thurber being voted the 2016 ‘Cbus Top Pick’ for senior housing in Columbus, according to a recent readers’ poll conducted by The Columbus Dispatch.

The poll, which asked readers to vote for their favorites in many service, hospitality and leisure-related categories, received an estimated 185,000, according to Dispatch officials. This is the inaugural year of the Cbus Top Pick poll.

Leslie Belfance, executive director of Ohio Living Westminster-Thurber, accepted the award for the Columbus-based life plan community. Belfance is marking her 10th year as executive director at Ohio Living Westminster-Thurber.

"The staff and I are honored to win the Cbus best award.," Belfance said. "We are blessed to serve over 450 Columbus seniors each day and to work for an organization whose  mission still rings true after 94 years."

The community is located in the heart of the active Short North community; with an attractive shopping and arts district, theatre venues, sporting events and The Ohio State University all located within walking distance.

Belfance attributed much of the community's success to the incredible service provided by her staff at all levels of care.

"Our employees make all the difference," she said, "Because of their hard work and focus on our mission, Ohio Living Westminster-Thurber  was voted the 2016 Cbus Best Top Pick in senior housing.  I am so proud of the meaningful work our employees do each day at Ohio Living Westminster-Thurber.
