Westminster Thurber Community To Add Luxury Apartments in Late Fall 2015

Westminster-Thurber Community, 717 Neil Ave., is working on plans to expand its continuing care retirement community to include Goodale Landing, 67 luxury condo-style apartments overlooking downtown Columbus.

Construction of the new apartment building on the Westminster Thurber’s campus is targeted to be completed by late fall 2015.

“The time is right to expand our campus to meet the needs of today’s active seniors in such a wonderful location,” said Westminster Thurber Executive Director Leslie Belfance. “Not only will Goodale Landing offer breathtaking views and amenities, but it will also afford residents the peace of mind that comes with plans for the future in a continuing care retirement community.”

Goodale Landing will feature eight distinct floor plans ranging in size from 1,140 to 2,000 square feet. Key apartment amenities include an open floor plan, a laundry room with washer, dryer and a utility sink, four-season sun room, a balcony, a full kitchen with pantry, and heated bathroom floors.

Goodale Landing will connect to Thurber Tower, where residents may dine in one of Westminster’s new restaurants or go for a swim in its new indoor, heated pool.

Residents will also have access to underground, heated parking and spacious walk-in storage spaces.

Westminster Thurber is now accepting reservations for Goodale Landing.

As a continuing care retirement community, Westminster Thurber also offers another 149 apartments with a unique range of sizes, designs, features, services and amenities; assisted living services in 71 apartments tailored to meet individual needs.

The Rehab Studios, currently serving those who are recovering from an illness, injury or surgery, in 36 private studio apartments, and long term nursing care in Westminster-Thurber’s Health Care Center designed for 92 residents who require around-the-clock nursing care.

The Goodale Landing pre-marketing effort was approved by the OPRS Communities Board of Directors at its February 9, 2012 meeting.
