• A focus on health and purposeful living through clinical services and enhanced enrichment programs. Our care model is constantly evolving to reflect current best practices for Alzheimer’s and dementia.
• Highly qualified, experienced team members who have specialized dementia training and certification. In addition to becoming Certified Dementia Practitioners, our caregivers pursue opportunities to learn more about dementia care with training and educational opportunities from experts in the field.
• Exceptional staffing levels with nurses on site 24 hours a day. 

We offer a team of Certified Dementia Practitioners® (CDP™) who dedicates each day to providing life-enriching care to our residents. A CDP has earned the credential that recognizes the highest standard in Alzheimer’s and dementia care practices. This provides families with security and comfort in knowing that their loved one is being cared for by skilled, caring and competent professionals who have completed extensive Alzheimer’s and Dementia training.

Not only do we have the most qualified staff, but also higher staff-to-resident ratios than most Alzheimer’s communities throughout the country, which means more attentive, personalized care and services. And because our team consistently provides care to the same small group of residents, strong bonds form between caregivers, residents and families at our community.

Household Model

Unlike a traditional or institutional model of care, residents at Ohio Living Ganzhorn Suites live in private suites within buildings we call "households." Each household is self-contained and functions independently, which helps relationships within the neighborhood develop and grow, and maintains health and safety by reducing exposure.

Each household serves various stages of Alzheimer’s disease and dementia. All four households feature a dedicated kitchen, dining area, den and laundry room. Additional aspects of our household model that contribute to your loved one’s safety and comfort include:

• A  consistent team of caregivers within each household who understand your loved one’s individual routines and health care needs.
• Large, secured courtyards for family visits and regular outdoor exercise.
• All meals served within household dining rooms, as well as household kitchens that are always fully stocked with a variety of meals and snacks.
• Safe and engaging enrichment activities through advanced technology, including music, exercise, religious services, art and more.
• Individual laundry service within private laundry rooms in each household.
  

Through purposeful design, consistent best practices and a commitment to compassionate care, our household model offers added safety and peace of mind for you and your loved one. 

Each of our 64 private suites reflects careful research and thoughtful planning to provide a therapeutic environment that is both safe and comfortable. 

Large sunny windows, adjustable blinds and independent climate controls ensure privacy and comfort, while monitoring technology in each suite allows us to ensure the safety of each resident without compromising their need for privacy. Every apartment includes a variety of features such as emergency call buttons, a private bathroom and full shower – just like at home. Each bathroom is built within line-of-sight of the bed and uses specialized lighting to help your loved one navigate at night. 

Residents are encouraged to bring personal items and accessories to make the space their own. Monthly rates are all-inclusive and include a fully furnished private suite, all care and services, routine medical supplies including incontinence products, health and beauty items, personal laundry, and all enrichment activities.
