Great place. We were willing to wait years to get into the place we wanted. Educated, intelligent residents make great friendship circles. Wide range of living levels--from independent living to memory care and more. Medical facilities on site. Proximity to downtown, Short North and Grandview restaurants, etc. We are incredibly pleased to be here.

As an eight-year resident at Ohio Living Westminster-Thurber, I am very happy. Urban living with shuttle service to downtown and other locations is great. I enjoy participating in structured activities as well as being able to swim laps in the indoor pool.

The more that time passes, the happier I am and the more I know that I made the right decision by choosing to live here. I had expected my apartment to be beautiful and it is in every way. What surprised me is what a wonderful community of people live here! I had been a little uneasy about moving into a “community” of people after living alone in my own house for many years. I enjoy the company of others but I also enjoy my privacy, peace and quiet. I find that my apartment is very quiet and I can have all the privacy I want. To my surprise I find my community of friends and neighbors to be one of the best things about living here. My many neighbors are friendly, interesting and engaging to a one. There are so many activities, both formal and informal that go on here, that I only regret that I don’t have time to participate in nearly as many as I would like. But of course there’s no hurry, because I have all the time in the world. I might add that I have a couple of friends who moved here from other, similar retirement communities. They say that while their former homes were certainly more than adequate, they greatly prefer Ohio Living Westminster Thurber. The administration is much more attuned to operating things according to the wishes of the residents and not just those of some corporate entity. And they tell me that while their former neighbors were okay, that they find their neighbors here to be much more friendly, interesting and fun. Moving to a retirement community is a big decision to be sure. But I have never doubted that I made the right choice when I chose to live here. In fact it’s one of the best decisions I’ve ever made!
