Finding a Home at Ohio Living Swan Creek

Ken and Ann Jane Hileman enjoyed many years living on River Road in Maumee, but their house eventually became too difficult to maintain. After Ken had a stroke, they realized it was time to downsize and look for a place that better fit their needs.

Ohio Living Swan Creek quickly rose to the top of the Hilemans’ list. The community had a great reputation, and several people they knew were already living there. It felt a lot easier to consider moving when they knew familiar faces would be around.

Growth in Ohio Living

Ohio Living Swan Creek is proud to celebrate a meaningful milestone in organizational growth as three team members earned their Administrator License after completing Administrator-in-Training (AIT) internships within our community. Their accomplishments highlight both their personal dedication and Ohio Living’s commitment to fostering future leaders from within.

A Friendship that Sparked a Cancer Support Group

Sometimes the strongest bonds form in the simplest moments, like a conversation after a fitness class. That’s how a meaningful friendship began between Suzette Zawisza, a therapy program manager with Concept Rehab, and Barb Richards, an Ohio Living Swan Creek villa resident. What started as shared understanding has grown into a monthly cancer support group that is already offering comfort and connection to residents and families

Intergenerational Housing Program Launches

When Josie Petersen, a sophomore at the University of Toledo, began her social work studies, she never imagined that part of her college experience would include living among older adults. This summer, she became the first participant in a new intergenerational housing program at Ohio Living Swan Creek, designed to connect students and residents in meaningful ways.
