August 2023 Employee Spotlight: Phil N.

Our August employee of the month’s work is so good, you can taste it – literally! Phil N., director of CNS at Ohio Living Mount Pleasant, manages the dining experience for independent living residents at Café 210. His Ohio Living career journey started in March 2017 as the assistant director of CNS working almost exclusively in the health care building, and he moved to Mount Pleasant Place in the fall of 2022.
“Some of the highlights of the culinary department include our wine-themed dinners and our ILR cooking class, where community members and residents gather to learn differ styles of cooking,” explained Phil. “Our fall of 2023 class is ‘Cooking for the ages’, which will be a fun one.”
Outside of work, Phil enjoys fishing, golfing with his son, and attending concerts with his wife. He has been married to his best friends for 20 years and has two young adult children; a son who just graduated high school and is working at a machine shop, and a daughter who recently started her senior year of high school. Three dogs, or three more children as he likes to say, complete the family crew.
