Senior Vice President & Wealth Management Advisor with Merrill Lynch, Ms. Adam, CFP®, CRPC™, who has been with Merrill over 21 years, is a senior partner of the Happ Adam Darah group in Toledo, Ohio. She, along with her other senior partner, oversees the strategic development of the team, investment strategy & implementation, and client relationship management. The Happ Adam Darah group, with over 100 years of combined experience, has the responsibility of managing over $1.6 billion in entrusted assets (as of December 2024).

She is an alum of Notre Dame Academy & a Summa Cum Laude graduate of the University of Toledo & Heidelberg College, where she earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree, while also receiving the Outstanding MBA Student Award.

Ms. Adam is currently serving as Chair of the Ohio Living Corporate Board. She previously served as an Ohio Living Foundation Board member, Chair of the Investment Committee & Chair of the Finance, Audit, Ethics & Compliance Committee. Additionally, her grandfather was a resident at Ohio Living Swan Creek where Ms. Adam worked throughout her undergraduate college years. She resides in Perrysburg with her husband Paul, who retired from Toledo Fire & Rescue after 30 years.

Ms. Ingwersen has over 40 years’ experience in the banking industry, with expertise in commercial lending and strategic planning. She recently retired after ten years as President of Key Bank’s Central Ohio District. She also held several leadership positions with JPMorgan Chase and National City (now PNC). Ms. Ingwersen is a graduate of Northwestern University and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Communication Studies.

She is a Columbus native and is an active and committed community volunteer, serving on numerous boards, including Franklin University, the Columbus Chamber of Commerce, and the YWCA of Columbus. Ms. Ingwersen is a champion of community-wide initiatives and her efforts have been recognized with various awards, including “40 Under 40” and a member of the Leadership Columbus Hall of Fame.

Karen L. Talbott is President & CEO of Child Guidance & Family Solutions and the retired President of Visiting Nurse Service and Affiliates. She was also previously a client service executive with Ernst & Young, specializing in the health care industry. Karen holds both bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Kent State University. She is a Fellow of Hospice and Home Care, one of only a few so designated in the United States by the National Association for Home Care. Karen is active in several professional and community organizations, including serving as Chair of the Ohio Living Rockynol Local Board and Chair of Summit County’s Social Services Advisory Board. She is a past Board and Executive Committee member of the Greater Akron Chamber and Blossom Music Center Board of Overseers as well as Past President of the Board of Directors of the Kent State University (KSU) National Alumni Association. She has been a distinguished Commencement speaker at KSU and is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of Ohio. Karen has received numerous awards, including the Woman of Note Award from Crain’s Cleveland Business; special award for eminence in a professional field by the Kent State Alumni Association; Northern Ohio Live’s Top Woman Rainmaker Award as one of the most influential businesswomen in Northeast Ohio; Extraordinary Woman Award from the Akron Beacon Journal; and the Governor’s Award for leadership from the Ohio Council for Home Care. Most recently, Karen was selected to receive the Impact Award from Northeast Ohio Boomer and Beyond Magazine.

She holds recent experience in the tech/start-up space driving transformative change initiatives through IPO, post-IPO, and organization phases. Dawn is currently the Chief of Strategy & Growth for the Columbus Bar Association. Her previous positions include Advisor/VP of Organizational Effectiveness & DEO for Hologram, Inc.; Chief Diversity & Belonging Officer/VP of People/HR Attorney for Root, Inc.; and General Counsel for the Employers Resource Association. Dawn received a Bachelor of Arts from Youngstown State University and a Juris Doctorate from The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law. She served in the U.S. Army and received Army Achievement & National Defense Service Medals as well as an Expert Marksmanship Badge. Mr. Joyce has more than 35 years of experience in the engineering, construction and facilities management industries. Mr. Joyce started his career at H.R. Gray in 1999 as Vice President working with the Founder and CEO, Harold R. Gray. In 2004 and extending until 2017, Mr. Joyce was the President and CEO of H.R. Gray. In addition to business development and client management responsibilities, he also served on a variety of industry boards and commissions, including Chair of the Ohio Water Development Authority and the Columbus Chamber of Commerce, Small Business Council. In 2018, Mr. Joyce transitioned from President and CEO into the Chairman position where he later retired in 2019. Prior to joining H.R. Gray, Mr. Joyce served as head of the Department of Public Utilities for the City of Columbus. In this capacity, he was also the primary point of contact with the U.S. EPA and Ohio EPA, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission and other County, State and Federal regulatory bodies.

Dr. Holly Papanek, DO, was awarded her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed her postgraduate residency training at Grandview Hospital in the Kettering Health Network. She was the first Director of the Hospitalist Program at Middletown Regional Hospital and led the program’s transition to Atrium Medical Center. She continued her Hospitalist practice with a focus on acute care in multiple facilities within the Premier Health Network where she has been honored twice for excellence in patient care. Dr. Papanek embraced an opportunity to have a larger role in the Waynesville community in 2017 by becoming the Medical Director of Ohio Living Quaker Heights. In 2019, she expanded her relationship with Ohio Living by also becoming the Medical Director at Ohio Living Cape May. Dr. Papanek’s interest in the promotion of the highest level of care and services for senior living residents lead her to accept the role of Plan Medical Director for Perennial Advantage of Ohio and Colorado at the organization’s inception in 2020. Her role as an independent physician has allowed her to partner with wonderful organizations and pursue medical interests that have been far beyond the scope of what she envisioned for her career. Her faith has always kept her grounded and focused on the “first things”. She is a lifelong South Dayton resident where she and her husband are raising their four sons.

With over four decades of leadership experience in human resources, Mr. Robert Stern has held senior roles across major U.S. and international corporations. From 1996 to 2007, he led The Ridge Consulting Group, specializing in executive search and M&A advisory for clients such as Porsche USA, Wendy’s International and Lesco Industries. Previously, he served as Vice President of Human Resources at The Scotts Company from 1982 to 1996, guiding the company through a leveraged buyout and global expansion from $156 million to $2.6 billion in sales. Before Scotts, he held executive staffing roles at ITT Europe in Brussels and administrative leadership positions at Alfred Teves GMBH America and Virginia Metal Products. Robert holds a bachelor’s degree from Virginia Tech. Since retiring in 2007, he has remained highly active in philanthropic and community efforts, serving on multiple for-profit and nonprofit boards. He is currently the treasurer of Short North Civic Association and chairs the exercise committee at Ohio Living Westminster-Thurber.

Dr. Alyncia Bowen is Dean of the Ross College of Business at Franklin University, where she also serves as Chair of the Doctorate in Healthcare Administration Program and Director of the Global Center of Healthcare Education. With over 24 years of healthcare and academic leadership experience, Dr. Bowen has held various faculty and administrative roles at Franklin University, including Dean of Doctoral Studies and the School of Nursing. A certified Six Sigma Black Belt, she has led multiple process improvement projects. Dr. Bowen is an active presenter on topics such as cultural competence, transformational teaching and global education, and serves on several boards, including COSI, Mount Carmel Foundation and International Accreditation Council for Business Education (IACBE). She holds a doctorate in Organization and Management from Capella University, a master's in Health Care Administration from Central Michigan University and a B.A. in Sociology from Capital University.

He is a graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point, where he earned a Bachelor of Science, as well as a former U.S. Army officer and decorated veteran who was recognized for his exemplary leadership in combat during Operation Iraqi Freedom II, including the Bronze Star and Meritorious Service Medal. A.J. received his Juris Doctorate from The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law. He and his family live in Dublin and are active members at Liberty Presbyterian Church.

Laurence C. Gumina serves as CEO of Ohio Living, ranked as LeadingAge Ziegler’s 18th largest not-for-profit, multi-site senior living organization in the nation. He leads the company’s growth strategy that takes advantage of changes in the regulatory/reimbursement environment and responds to increasing demands for services in high-growth areas throughout Ohio. Gumina uses his more than three decades of experience in both the hospital and aging services industries to anchor relationships between healthcare providers, hospitals, insurers and others in order to streamline and advance aging services at the community level.

He currently serves on the boards of LeadingAge, LeadingAge Ohio, Link-Age, and the Presbyterian Association of Homes and Services for the Aging (PAHSA). Gumina holds a Master of Public Administration in health care administration from Fairleigh Dickinson University in Teaneck, New Jersey, and a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Bryant University in Smithfield, Rhode Island.

Dr. Yousuf J. Ahmad,  DR.P.H., MHSA, MBA, FACHE, brings a distinct and diverse healthcare perspective. Dedicated to helping people, he spent over 25 years in healthcare, working as a leader in health insurance, physician group practices, and multi-hospital health systems. Prior to his current position as President and CEO of AssureCare, he served as the President and CEO of Mercy Health, the largest health system in the State of Ohio and one of the largest in the United States. Under his leadership, Mercy Health was named a Truven “Top 15” health system two years in a row. Dr. Ahmad led Mercy Health in the development and execution of the region’s first and only Accountable Care Organization (ACO), the advancement of its Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH) project, and Population Health Management. He has a Doctorate in Public Health from the University of Kentucky, a Masters of Health Administration from Xavier University, and a Masters in Business Administration from Eastern Kentucky University. Dr. Ahmad is a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE) and a Certified Medical Practice Executive (CMPE) in the American College of Medical Practice Executives (ACMPE), as well as active members of the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives (CHIME) and American Public Health Association (APHA).
