    Laurence C. Gumina

    Chief Executive Officer


    Laurence C. Gumina serves as CEO of Ohio Living, ranked as LeadingAge Ziegler’s 18th largest not-for-profit, multi-site senior living organization in the nation. He leads the company’s growth strategy that takes advantage of changes in the regulatory/reimbursement environment and responds to increasing demands for services in high-growth areas throughout Ohio. Gumina uses his more than three decades of experience in both the hospital and aging services industries to anchor relationships between healthcare providers, hospitals, insurers and others in order to streamline and advance aging services at the community level.

    He currently serves on the boards of LeadingAge, LeadingAge Ohio, Link-Age, and the Presbyterian Association of Homes and Services for the Aging (PAHSA). Gumina holds a Master of Public Administration in health care administration from Fairleigh Dickinson University in Teaneck, New Jersey, and a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Bryant University in Smithfield, Rhode Island.

    Leslie Belfance

    Leslie Belfance began her tenure with Ohio Living in 2002 when she joined the organization as an Administrator at Ohio Living Rockynol. In 2006, she was promoted to serve as the community’s Executive Director. Ms. Belfance was then appointed as Executive Director of Ohio Living Westminster-Thurber in 2011.

    With a leadership style based on empowerment, Ms. Belfance creates a culture of appreciation and respect that puts people first – be it resident, family member, or employee.

    In her current role as Chief Operating Officer of Communities , Ms. Belfance has oversight responsibilities for all Ohio Living communities and will also be serving as a voting, ex-officio member of the Ohio Living Communities Board. 

    Ms. Belfance holds a Bachelor of Arts in business from The University of Akron and is a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator. Prior to Ohio Living, she served as an Administrator with HCR Manor Care.

    David De Simone-1

    David De Simone

    Chief Counsel and Compliance Officer


    David De Simone joined Ohio Living in 2023, bringing with him more than 25 years of experience in the field. Most recently, he served as the senior vice president for CentraState Healthcare System, a partner of Atlantic Health, in Freehold, N.J., where he was responsible for directing legal, risk, insurance, organizational transformation, strategy, and growth initiatives.

    As chief counsel and compliance officer, he coordinates and advises on all legal matters, as well as manages ethics, key compliance program activities, risk management and insurance. Broadly, he collaborates with the Board of Directors, CEO and Executive team to advance Ohio Living’s various strategic business priorities.

    De Simone holds a juris doctor degree from Seton Hall University School of Law, along with a master’s degree in healthcare leadership and a bachelor’s degree in organizational behavior and management from Brown University. He is a contributing member to the American Health Lawyers Association.

    Barb Lyon

    Barb Lyon boasts more than 25 years of Ohio-based not-for-profit management and philanthropy experience. Following an extensive career in emergency management preparedness and response, she held the role of Vice President of the United Way of Delaware County for more than 10 years. In 2022, she founded Lyon & Co. LLC, which provides consulting services in the areas of operations and development strategy.

    Ms. Lyon began her tenure with Ohio Living in 2021, when she served as the Corporate Executive of Gift Planning for the Ohio Living Foundation. In 2024, she returned to the organization as its Chief Development Officer.

    An invested community member, Ms. Lyon volunteers her time with many nonprofit organizations and holds board member assignments with Helpline and the Delaware Area Chamber of Commerce.

    Ms. Lyon holds a bachelor’s degree in health promotion from The Ohio State University. 

    Wendy Price Kiser

    Wendy Price Kiser has over 30 years of senior executive leadership in a broad array of complex not-for-profit, faith-based health care and multi-site senior living and home and community-based service organizations. She previously served as the Executive Director for Ohio Living Home Health and Hospice – Greater Toledo and as the Executive Director for Ohio Living Swan Creek. Ms. Price Kiser earned a Bachelor of Science in nursing from Bowling Green State University and a Master of Business Administration from Ashland University. She lives in Waterville with her husband, Marlon Kiser, and enjoys participating in activities with their four grandchildren.

    Mica Rees

    Mica Rees is a health care executive with more than 20 years of experience in both for-profit and not-for-profit environments including hospitals, home health, hospice, long-term and sub-acute care, assisted and independent living, and adult day care. She is a results-driven leader with expertise in business development, sales, marketing, training and community relations, and has led her teams to drive significant market share growth and create integral business partnerships.

    Ms. Rees joined Ohio Living in 2013 as vice president of operations and business development for our home health and hospice service line, and went on to serve as corporate executive of business development before her promotion to chief brand and growth officer. Prior to Ohio Living, Ms. Rees’ roles included regional manager of business development, district and area director of sales and marketing, and community relations coordinator.

    After receiving her Bachelor of Science in health from Ohio University, Ms. Rees went on to earn a master’s in Health Care Administration from the university as well.

    Bob Stillman

     

    Robert B. Stillman

    Chief Financial Officer


    Robert B. Stillman has more than two decades of experience in public accounting with a practice concentration serving senior living and long-term care providers, as well as a broad range of non-profit organizations.

    After beginning his career with KPMG, an audit, tax and advisory services firm, Mr. Stillman went on to serve long-term care providers while working for a public accounting firm that specialized in that sector. He was an assurance partner for Columbus-based accounting firm GBQ Partners, LLC for 14 years prior to joining Ohio Living in 2013.

    Mr. Stillman is a CPA (inactive) and holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration with an accounting emphasis from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio.

    Dana Ullom-Vucelich

     

    Dana Ullom-Vucelich

    Chief Human Resources Officer


    Dana Ullom-Vucelich is a human resources executive with extensive experience in the health care industry. Among her accomplishments at Ohio Living, she successfully infused an employee appreciation and recognition culture, invested in many HR system enhancements, was instrumental in the organization’s receipt of the Better Business Bureau Torch Award for Ethics, led a team that was honored as a Team Excellence finalist for Columbus CEO Magazine’s HR Excellence Awards and most recently led the national initiative for the honor of Great Place to Work designation.

    After working as vice president of human resources for an Ohio hospital for many years, Ms. Ullom-Vucelich came to Ohio Living in 2000 as vice president of human resources, in addition to serving as our ethics and compliance officer.

    Ms. Ullom-Vucelich earned a bachelor’s degree from Kent State University and a Master of Human Resources Development from Webster University, in addition to various certifications.  She has been highlighted in many articles and most recently in the book, Appreciate – Celebrating People Inspiring Greatness. An active public speaker and volunteer leader for many faith-based, civic and non-profit organizations, she also belongs and has had leadership roles within local, state and national business associations.
