Silver Heart Award Spotlight: Gail, Ohio Living Home Health & Hospice – Greater Columbus

Always the first to offer a suggestion to improve current practice and patient care, Silver Heart recipient Gail regularly raises the bar by thinking outside of the box. She works as an RN case manager with Ohio Living Home Health & Hospice – Greater Columbus and uses her years of experience to extend highly personalized care and make everyone feel welcome.
In addition to conquering work tasks, Gail has been known to spend her own money on little gifts for her families and co-workers to make them feel appreciated on a regular basis. “Gail is always willing to provide a hug, surprise gift or comforting word to help our families/clients/co-workers who having a long day,” one team member described.
“Gail is not confined to her job description and in fact, she is frequently recognized by staff and families for going above and beyond,” they continued. “She is routinely picking up hours and taking after-hour calls to ensure her clients and families get the best care. Regardless of day or time, she gives 100%. She is arguably the most requested nurse in all buildings and patient homes!”
Another nominator added, “Her patients consider her family; she is one of a kind.”
