Ohio Living Lake Vista’s Rehab Center assists with things like restoring balance, improving functional mobility, pain management techniques, cardiovascular rehab, addressing neuromuscular deficits, lymphedema management, maintaining skin integrity, patient and caregiver education, and reducing the risk of falling. Rehab suites are all private and include a standard-sized bed, walk-in shower, flatscreen TV, dresser, closet, emergency call light system, individualized heating/cooling and Wi-Fi access. Guests receive 24-hour nursing care and security, dining and catering services, professional beauty/barber shop, personalized transportation, physician services, podiatry services, pharmacy service, ancillary supplies and access to all the campus’s amenities and programming.
“For someone to qualify for short-term rehab services at Ohio Living Lake Vista, they typically have had a prior hospital stay,” explained Lariccia. “We usually receive a head’s up from the hospital prior to the procedure so we can connect with the patient’s insurance company and prepare for their arrival. Both Medicare and managed health care plans typically provide full coverage for up to 20 days of a rehab stay, with additional days incurring co-pays.”
