Ohio Living Lake Vista Resident Rings in 107th Birthday

Neighbors and employees at Ohio Living Lake Vista recently celebrated the 107th birthday of long-term care resident Ellen Beany.
Born March 17, 1917, in Girard, Ohio, Ellen was the youngest of three children. She and her sister, Mildred, shared a love for music and singing, and leaned on their musical gifts to brighten difficult days during the Great Depression. She was first married at 22 and bore two daughters, Sandy and Cheryl.
Over the years, Ellen raised her children and worked for several local businesses, including Mullins Manufacturing Corporation in Warren. For fun, she enjoyed “snowbird” traveling to Florida, where she and her late husband owned a condo in Boca Raton. When she wasn’t traveling, she could be found baking pies, making fudge, painting figurines and spending time with her close-knit family.
Ellen is a proud grandmother to nine grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. She has resided at Ohio Living Lake Vista since June 2023.
